Temple Announcement 2-16-10

  Shalom [NAME],

Details for the following events, and more, can be found on our website at www.templeisraelgreenfield.org.

Updates from The President of the Board

1. The Board recently accepted the resignation of our Treasurer Richard Witty. Due to an overwhelming work schedule he is currently unable to continue in his role as Treasurer.  We would like to thank him for his service to Temple Israel.  The Board voted in Rob Wainstein as Treasurer. He will serve in this capacity until the June 2010 Annual meeting.

2. Please Mark your calendars for March 14, 2010 10am-12pm. We will continue our envisioning work for Temple Israel. If you would like the notes from our first session as an attachment (they came as part of last week's email message) do not hesitate to email me:  joaniecm@yahoo.com.

3. I met with Alice Perry, the Prosecutor from the DAs office last week. She foresees our case proceeding slowly throughout the spring and summer, with Terri going before the court again in March. Some of us will be asked to complete victim impact statements and Alice has also offered to come to our annual meeting in June to address the community.  As things proceed, I will keep you posted.

I look forward to seeing many of you at our Purim spiel and dance.

B'shalom,

Joanie

 Message From  Reb Efraim

As the only Jewish organization in Franklin County I think it is important that we offer a Passover seder to the entire community for a variety of reasons. First, it is a mitzvah to provide a seder for every person who wants one.  Second it is a wonderful outreach tool. Third, it is also an important community building vehicle for us. Please read the letter that will be sent via email to all congregants concerning the seder, and respond accordingly. Thank you.
