High Holidays 5771
We welcome everyone to share the High Holiday celebrations with us. Our High Holiday services begin on Wednesday evening, September 8th, at 8:00 PM followed by an oneg, desserts and beverages. This year we are blessed to have Cantorial soloist, Felicia Sloin, join us to make the New Year even sweeter.
Services continue on Thursday and Friday morning, September 9th and 10th at 10 AM. Children's services take place at approximately noon on both RH Day 1 and Yom Kippur. After the service on Thursday there will be a potluck vegetarian lunch. Please call Rhonda at 624-5175 to let her know what you will be bringing. On Thursday at 3:00 PM we will join at the Green River swimming hole for Tashlich, our ceremonial throwing away of our sins. At 4:00 we will meet at our cemetery to remember all those who have come before us.
Kol Nidre will be chanted by Felicia on Friday, September 17th starting at 6:30 PM. Services will resume the next day at 10 AM. Break Fast will follow the service.
Childcare is available on Rosh Hashana Day 1 And Yom Kippur Day beginning at 10:30 Am, $$15 per child with additional children $10 per child. Additional children after 2 there is no fee. Childcare is available on Kol Nidre night starting at 6:30 PM. $10 per child.
Our Virtual Judaica StoreYou may have noticed the colorful "Shop Our Judaica Store" box (and "Click here" button) on the left sidebar of our web site, but I want to explain how it works. If you click on the link you go to a sub-domain site of Judaica Beautiful's site made just for us, and Temple Israel earns 25% of the purchase. We receive a check for one quarter of the total purchases made through this site each month. And please check out the current Judaica newsletter link located permanently in the Quick Links box in the right sidebar of our web site for timely Judaica promotions. Using the links in the newsletter earns Temple Israel the same 25%
