Mikvah at Gardeners Falls
Friday, June 15, 2018 - 4:45pm to 5:30pm
These gatherings are simple. We start with setting the kavanah, the intention for our immersion, for getting ready to move from weekday into Shabbat. Combining short check-ins, teachings and meditations, we prepare together for immersion. Immersing is the most important part, letting the river re-freshen. We immerse in pairs or trio's, with bathing suits...(it is a public beach after all).
Please note: We are adapting the traditional ritual form. We gather as a coed group and wearing swimsuits. Everyone creates their own experience in a shared, supportive space. If Mikvah is new to you, like it is for most of us, do not worry. All are welcome for this simple renewing ceremony.
